Apart from the new features of windows 8, you might have noticed that the some of the features of previous versions of windows are missing in windows 8 like setting up of ad hoc network. Previously users could easily create a ad hoc network share their internet connection with other people which is very useful if you are using data card to surf internet. Ad hoc network are also very useful for sharing files and  playing multiplayer LAN games but as this feature is missing in windows 8, it's a big problem for all the people.

Today i am going to share with you all a video describing the features of windows 8 which i created for the round 1 of Microsoft Student Partners Program 2012. Along with the video i have also written some features of windows 8 which you might like.

In one of my previous posts on Windows 8 Release Preview i told you that the commercial version of windows 8 is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of the year. Today i installed windows 8 Release Preview in my computer and connected my live account with it which was having a password of more than 16 characters. Everything was working fine until i restarted my computer. After the restart i found that i am not able to log in to windows 8 with my live account.

Today i am going to tell you a method using which you make your files and folders completely hidden so that no one can even search them if they are present in your computer. You can access the files and folders but cannot see them present there. Method includes the use of simple command without using any software.

In computer files like pictures,videos,movies etc access this file called thumbs.db to show their thumbnails and this the reason why you see thumbs.db file created in your folders. But we all don't like this file so there is a method which today i am going to share by which you can turn these files off so that in future no such file will be created in any of the folders.

Many times it happens that you want to go somewhere and some application is running on your computer which you cannot close at that instant. Now leaving the computer in on state will consume lot of energy and is not at all environment friendly method. So the solution is that you can set the timer so that your computer will automatically shutdown after the time you specify. So in this post i am going to tell you how you can set a timer for your computer without using any software with just one command.

We all are interested in increasing our internet speed by any amount so today i am going to tell you about a simple tweak you can use to get the maximum speed which your ISP is actually providing you. By changing the DNS servers we are using with the right one, we can actually increase our speed to some extent. Let's boost our internet speed.

In this post i will tell you about how you can make your pendrive/USB drive bootable so that you can install your windows operating system from the pendrive instead of using dvd for it. Windows 8 Release Preview (RP) is finally out. Now all the users who want to test windows 8 before it's commercial launch can download the iso image file of the windows 8 RP from the original microsoft site.

As per the reports, Microsoft was set to launch windows 8 release preview in the first week of june but now microsoft has unexpectedly announced the launch of windows 8 on 31st May i.e. today.

In my previous post i told you about the two methods which you can use to add shortcuts to your files/folders so that you can access them using that shortcut. In this post i will go through the third method which applies to only files but with a little tweak it will work with folders as well.

In this post i will cover up the methods so that you can open your files as well as the folders from the run window instead of navigating through the whole path of the folder or the file. It is very time consuming and a boring work to open a folder which is present inside many folders specially if you open it often so to make your work simple you can follow the methods. Actually there are three methods to do so, out of which only two methods work with both files and folder. The third method only applies to files and includes the use of registry so i will cover it up in my next post.
