Block/Unblock Sites Without Software

Hello friends, today i will tell you how you can block or unblock the sites in windows without the use of any of the software. Using the software for everything is not a good option when you can do the same without it. Using this trick, no one will be able to access the site you blocked using any of the browser.

#Method:

- Firstly open your computer in safe mode by pressing F8 button while the computer starts.
- Open the administrator account. (You need to open the administrator account because we are going to make a change in the system file)
- Now navigate to:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\
- Now open the hosts file with notepad.

- Now in the hosts file after the last line add 127.0.0.1 site-name.
For example: If you want to block facebook then type
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 facebook.com
you need to block both the sites separately i.e. site with and without www

- Save the file. (Make sure you click on save and not save as)

Now try to open the site. You will notice that you are not able to access the site. To unblock a site simply remove the site name from the file and then it will be unblocked.
